ACCOMMODATION:
The Radisson Blu Daugava is the official Convention hotel. It is rated at 4 stars but offers delegates exceptional value. All presentations, exhibits, Gala Dinner, etc. take place in the Daugava Ballroom, off the Main Lobby.
The hotel is offering significantly reduced room rates for attendees and has extended that offer for three days either side of the convention. (For details see ‘accommodation’ page).
The hotel requires all attendees to make their accommodation reservations direct with them.
To book your accommodation, we have a dedicated reservation form to identify you as an attendee, which is provided as a download. Please go to the ‘Register’ page of the website for the link to the form. This can be emailed or faxed to the hotel, as you wish.
If you prefer, you can book accommodation by telephone on +371 6706 1274 or by email on: Please say you are a ‘Potato Convention’ delegate to get the special delegate rate.
We strongly suggest that you should book your hotel and make your delegate registration at the same time, so the accommodation and registration lists match.
Please remember: The discounted accommodation rates are only guaranteed available before Tuesday May 22, 2012, or until the hotel allocation is full, whichever is first.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT:
We ask all delegates to complete a registration form which is web-based. If you prefer, this form can be downloaded from the ‘Register’ page and completed and e-mailed or faxed to us, as you wish.
When registering, please include all details as this information will be used for all administrative purposes, including badging and the list of attendees. If you have another name or nickname you would prefer on your delegate badge, please indicate.
For payment, we can offer you two options. The first is by card.
Always concerned with security, we do not ask for any card details over the internet, but will apply to you separately for your card details to come to us by fax.
We can accept payment via Mastercard, Visa, Amex or Diners.
Please note that as a UK-based company, card payments are taken as Pounds Sterling according to the exchange rate at the moment of transaction. Your card issuer’s conversion to your currency may create small discrepancies which are beyond our control. We will confirm all transactions.
Alternatively, we can pro-forma invoice you for payment by bank transfer or cheque. (However, please be aware that if you are making use of any discounted ‘Early Bird’ registrations, payments must be completed by the appropriate date). For this payment method, simply tick the ‘Invoice me’ box on the registration form and we will electronically send you an invoice. We can accept Euro, US Dollar and Pounds Sterling  cheques.
No registration is ‘live’ until payment is received.
TO REGISTER PLEASE GO TO ‘REGISTER page.

TECHNICAL WORKSHOPS:
Technical Workshop presentations may be presented by commercial partners, so offering an opportunity for attendees to also catch up on the latest developments and offerings from equipment and services companies.
Technical Workshops will be available as optional extras during some breaks, with only one Workshop per break.

THE EXHIBITION:
The Convention includes a small exhibition that may change daily. It is positioned outside the Ballroom where 'welcome' coffee, coffee breaks and end-of-day complimentary drinks will be provided.
It is the funding from these exhibitors that allows us to keep registration fees low, so please make the most of the opportunity to talk with them. It is an excellent opportunity for attendees to be face-to-face with some organisations that could offer possibilities for their future development.
The exhibition will be open both days from 08.30.
(Enquiries for exhibition or sponsorship participations to convention@crier.co.uk please).

DRESS CODE:
There is no dress code. Feel free to wear what you wish. For the Gala Dinner, we do suggest smart casual at least, elsewhere informal/casual clothing is fine. For ‘outdoors’, the weather in Riga in late June should be pleasant with temperatures (C) in the low 20’s (but that is not guaranteed) and long, light evenings!

PARKING:
The Radisson Blu Daugava has a large car park offered to attendees at euros 3.50 (including tax) per day.

TAX: Delegate registration fees include VAT at 22%, which is reclaimable in the usual way. (Hotel accommodation includes 12% VAT).

LANGUAGE:
All presentations and administration will be in English.

THE RADISSON BLU DAUGAVA HOTEL:
The Radisson Blu Daugava is the Convention headquarters hotel and is offering attendees to the Convention not only very attractive accommodation rates, but they have also agreed to extend those rates for three days either side of the Convention, so offering that low rate from Friday June 22 to (and including) Monday July 2! That is an excellent offer!
For full details, please see the ‘accommodation’ page.
